On a weekly basis at Clark Electronics we repair units we have never seen before, often long obsolete with no drawings or schematics.
We repair all types of industrial Control equipment including AC Drives, DC Drives, Servo Drives, PLC's, HMI Screens, Industrial PC's, Stepper Drives, Power Supplies, Level Controllers, Thyristor Controllers, Flow controllers, Process Controllers, Counters, Timers, Door Controllers, Metal Detectors, Remote Control Units, Chargers, Glue Machines, this list is by no means exhaustive.
Our engineers are highly experienced at working to component level with the ability to reverse engineer circuits where required and work daily fault finding and repairing equipment from all areas of industry.
Repairing
Example
A large meat producer in West lothian use a Nordson Messa 6 Automatic Glue machine during their packaging process. The unit became faulty which left the customer at the mercy of the manufacturer who quoted £4,000.00 to replace the circuit boards in the unit. A Clark Electronics Engineer visited the site and brought the unit back to the workshop for repair. It was found that both boards were indeed faulty. Our Engineers managed to repair one of the boards the other board could not be repaired due to the main processor being blown. We managed to source a second user board from one of our suppliers in the United States, The replacement board was for another model of machine, A Nordson Pro Blue, this meant that it was not compatible with the customers machine. At this point most engineers would give up. Not at Clark Electronics, a quick word with a Nordson design engineer in Canada allowed us to manufacture a communication cable to connect a laptop to the board and erase the firmware on the second user board before downloading the firmware for the customers Messa 6 machine thus bringing the unit back to life and saving the customer £3,000.00 on the repair.
